Went to a wedding recently. This time as a guest and not as a photographer. But...I don't really go anywhere without a camera...

First Day of Kindergarten

A word of advice. Always check your settings! I usually shoot in aperture priority, and when I pick up my camera, chances are that's what is set. However, sometimes I shoot manual. This morning I picked up my camera, dialed in f3.5 and took a few shots. Everything looked good. Histogram looked fine. I took my camera into different lighting and kept shooting, changing aperture, thinking my shutter was compensating. It was early in the morning and my focus was on composition, not settings. Oops. I was in manual. I completely over exposed a series of images. Lesson learned. Check your settings. I know I'll be checking mine now. Oh well, at least I got a few good shots.
A couple samples from the most recent wedding. Congratulations to the bride and groom. We had a great time shooting this event, they were a fun group of people.

Testing out a new lens, a Nikon 50mm 1.8. Probably the sharpest lens I own.
