First Day of Kindergarten

A word of advice. Always check your settings! I usually shoot in aperture priority, and when I pick up my camera, chances are that's what is set. However, sometimes I shoot manual. This morning I picked up my camera, dialed in f3.5 and took a few shots. Everything looked good. Histogram looked fine. I took my camera into different lighting and kept shooting, changing aperture, thinking my shutter was compensating. It was early in the morning and my focus was on composition, not settings. Oops. I was in manual. I completely over exposed a series of images. Lesson learned. Check your settings. I know I'll be checking mine now. Oh well, at least I got a few good shots.
